Spooky Halloween Treats for Kids Big and Small

halloween.jpg

Suddenly, the air becomes crisp and cool…  And if you are like me, you wonder “How did it get to be October already?!” The days are (sometimes) warm, but the nights are chilly. Halloween is right around the corner and the hustle and bustle of fall activities are in full gear. Don’t we all need some practical and easy recipes for comforting, kid-friendly meals and some treats for kids and adults alike?

Bats and Cobwebs (Chicken Sausage, Bow Tie Pasta and Mozzarella Cheese in a Simple Tomato Sauce)

Baked Bloody Rats (Surprise your kids with this fun and offbeat take on Beef Meatloaf!)

Crockpot Peach Apple Crisp (Tender Apples and Peaches (or other seasonal fruit) covered with a Gluten-Free Oatmeal Crumble that is free of refined Sugars. A healthful dessert!)

Pumpkin Pie Pudding (All the flavors of Pumpkin Pie, in pudding form!)

I would also like to welcome back Chef Jenny Jesch to the Ready, Set, Eat! team. With Jenny’s arrival, we now have four chefs to better serve you and your needs.

  • Do you struggle to put a nutritious meal on the table?

  • Do you need help, just a day or two a week?

  • Do you know someone who is struggling with health issues and would like more personalized meals than what they can find at the store?

As always, I welcome your feedback… how you liked the recipes listed here, what recipes you’d like to see for future newsletters, or things you are curious about. Connect with us online too!

Bon Appetit!
