Fall Freezer Prep: Getting Ready for the Hustle and Bustle!
This Month’s Recipes: Freezer Friendly Banana Muffins l Quinoa or Brown Rice Prep l Ground Meat or Tofu Prep l Slow-Cooked Chuck Roast or Pork Shoulder
The start of the school year is quickly approaching, and along with it the rush of the fall season. Kids with extra-curricular activities, parents with increased workloads, school commitments… it all adds up to a very busy season.
So do yourself a favor… make a few freezer items that can be pulled from the freezer at a moment’s notice and made into a great meal with very little effort. They also use up items that are often on hand, which is a double bonus!
Freezer Friendly Banana Muffins – uses very ripe bananas or bananas that might have been stashed in the freezer
Brown Rice and/or Quiona Prep – freezes well and serves as a healthful base for many dishes
Seasoned Ground Meat or Tofu – Can be used for taco rice bowls, burritos, or as a base for a sloppy-joe style sandwich.
Slow-Cooked Chuck Roast or Pork Shoulder – Can also be used as a base for a Mexican-Style meal, as a pasta sauce, or a pulled meat sandwich.
All items can be adjusted to your favorite flavor profile… Asian, Mexican, Italian, etc.
Enjoy making dinners with ease, with items that the whole family will love.
