Blue Cheese-Stuffed Figs with Proscuitto

Fresh or Dried Figs, stuffed with pieces of Blue Cheese, wrapped with Proscuitto slices, and baked. Topped with chopped Walnuts.

Servings: 20

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.

  2. Split fresh or dried figs just so that a piece or two of blue cheese will fit within. Close up the halves, then wrap each with ½ of a prosciutto slice.

  3. Place on a baking sheet, and bake for 5-8 minutes, or until figs are soft, prosciutto is crispy and cheese has melted.

  4. Plate, then sprinkle with chopped walnuts.

Ingredients

  • 40 figs, fresh if available, dried if not

  • ¼ lb Blue cheese

  • 20 prosciutto slices

  • ¼ c. toasted walnut pieces
