Jumbo Shrimp with Spicy Sesame Ginger Butter

Directions

  1. Blend melted butter with the soy sauce, sesame oil, chili garlic paste and gingerroot.

  2. Peel and devein shrimp, as needed. If desired, thread onto skewers or arrange in a baking dish. If broiling, brush with melted butter mixture, then broil for about 2 minutes per side or until pink and tails have curled.

  3. If baking, preheat oven to 400 F. Drizzle shrimp with butter, then bake for 8-12 minutes or until pink and tails curl.

  4. Serve with a sprinkle of green onion and any accumulated melted butter. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound shrimp, large, raw

  • salt

  • 1 tablespoon butter, unsalted, melted

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce, light

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil, dark

  • 1/2 tablespoon ginger root, minced fine or grated

  • 1 teaspoon chili garlic paste (or can substitute Sriracha)

  • 1 green onion sliced on the bias, for garnish
