Grilled Steak (or Chicken) Rice Bowl

Directions
Sprinkle grill seasoning on the steak and allow to sit at room temp for 15 minutes.
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Sear steak for 4-5 minutes per side (depending on how done you like your steak), then remove to a plate and cover with foil. Allow to rest 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, reheat prepared brown rice in the microwave. Prepare other accompaniments.
Once steak has rested, slice thinly into bite sized pieces. Spoon ½ c. cooked rice into bowls, top with steak, tomatoes, avocado, cheese, olives, lettuce and sour cream/salsa. Enjoy!
Ingredients
2 c. prepared brown rice
1 lb. flank, skirt, or flat iron steak. (Can sub chicken thighs, or breasts also)
1 tsp. Grill Seasoning (such as McCormick’s Montreal Steak Seasoning, or other Salt-Free Seasoning)
1 tsp. canola or vegetable oil
2 tomatoes, diced
1 small avocado, diced
½ c. cheddar cheese, shredded
¼ c. black olives, sliced
2 c. shredded lettuce, spinach or other greens
8 tsp. sour cream (optional)
Salsa, (optional)
