A Romantic Celebration at Home

It’s February, do you have your Valentine’s Day reservations yet? No?!

Whether you have small children, a busy week, or just don’t want to brave the ultra-busy restaurant scene, it’s a wonderful thing to be able to prepare a romantic, celebratory meal for your love one at home. We all bond over food, and a delicious dinner prepared from the heart is a beautiful way to reconnect after a busy week.

While we love to cook for our clients, it also gives us joy to give others the ideas for successful meals at home too. It’s not as hard as you may think… Even something that seems fancy can be pretty straight forward with a good recipe and some decent technique. I’ve come up with the following menu ideas, which I think will wow your loved one, no matter what their dietary preference. And really, who doesn’t love having a meal prepared just for them? It’s a wonderful gesture no matter who you are.

  • Fancy Fish: Salmon Pillows with Lemon Rice Pilaf

  • Beautiful Beef: Beef Bourguignon with Parmesan Smashed Red Potatoes

  • Vivacious Vegetarian: Kale and Edamame Fritters with Gorgeous Green Chutney and Asparagus, Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad

  • Healthful Dessert: Black Bean Brownies with Chocolate Chunks (From Minimalist Baker)

  • A Bit More Decadent: Chocolate Hazelnut Truffles

Bon Appetit!
